I’m well into the research phase of my New Book titled “When Banks Go Bad”.
The book is the story of my experience with Westpac and the prevalence of Deceptive and Misleading conduct in the banking industry.
We also examine the Penalty Fees issue along with the issue of Bank’s ” Mistakes” that are almost always in their favour and also feature some case studies.
If you have a unresolved dispute with your bank, maybe something that was outside the Ombudsman’s ” Terms of Reference” and would like to have it mentioned in the book this is your opportunity. You don’t need to have your name and details published in the book however we will need to verify the case.

More about the Book
The book is what I a “Live Book”. It will be delivered by email as an eBook in 12 chapters over 12 weeks. This has a couple of great advantages.
1. It allows us to update the closing chapters as we get reactions from the banks and media, in-fact the closing chapter will not be finalised until about week 10 and will include feedback from Banks, Consumer Groups, Government and Shareholders of the banks.
2. The Banks won’t know the details of whats in each chapter until we release it. So its difficult for them to try and mount a legal case to have publication stopped.
3. We can keep the pressure on them for the full 12 weeks, the story won’t fade after a week or two. Each week they will be hit with a new chapter to respond to.
4. It will give the press a new story each week to deal with allowing them to build up pressure over time on both Government and the Banks in order to have these issues dealt with.
